Time. When having goals and callings, we think we can create timelines of when they’ll be accomplished. We can work, we can pray, we can try to manifest all of our desires, but at the end of the day, it’s all up to Him.
I tend to get frustrated or impatient when I think God doesn’t hear my prayers. I think we’ve all been there. You go through a season where you never believe you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel; you’re searching for a job for months, you’ve been praying for that partner after years of singleness, you’re looking and hoping for that sense of community after moving to a new city. When we are at our lowest, our faith can waiver.
I’ve doubted my faith in many times of darkness. Instead of running towards God, I’ve hidden. But, I’m here to tell you friends, that is not the way. Keep pressing forward. Run towards Him, run towards the light. Because even if it’s been dark for a thousand days, the light WILL come.
I know I always want things to come on my time, but in the end, His timing is always best. No matter what season you’re in, try to embrace every single second of it… at least, that’s what I’m trying to do.
There’s always, always a reason for His timing.
