Hi friends – it’s been a while! I can’t believe it’s already October — where has this year gone?? 2018 has been quite the rollercoaster, and I’m beyond ready to see what these last 90 days have in store. I’ve spent the last few months working on myself: my physical and mental health, reflecting, dreaming.
This season has taught me that life is so short, and we are only hurting ourselves by not chasing down and tackling what we dream, what and who we love, and happiness. So, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.
I’ve spent a lot of my time running. I recently completed my fifth half-marathon last weekend, and now am looking forward to training for a few races next year. I’m still figuring out what those will be. Trail running has always intrigued me, so I think I’ll hit up Percy Warner Park some this Fall. I’m going out and listening to music, rekindling friendships, visiting family.
I’m so thankful for this time to reflect and remember what makes up me. We get bombarded with social media posts, and looking screens 24/7, I know at least in my own case, it’s easy for me to get lost; forget my goals, forget who I am, what makes my heart beat a little faster.
Take some time this week to slow down and just breathe – that’s my goal for you!
